Felicia Tan Shi Qi was born on 18 January 2000. That being said, she's a millennial. She is currently a Secondary 4 student who aspires to become an actor/drama teacher or at least join the arts industry. Therefore, she is using this blog to document her journey. She is also going to stop speaking in third person.

At this point of time, I've been acting (non-professionally) for four years (ie my whole secondary school life). I've written and acted in various school performances and was involved in the Singapore Youth Festival English Drama Arts Presentation 2015 as a part of the technical crew for my school. I'm from ELDDS Drama and have stepped down from my role of Head of Logistics-Costumes for 2015/2016. I have attended external courses from the Singapore Media Academy to improve my acting skills in 2014 and 2015. From my CCA, I have gained knowledge in improvisation, physical theatre and basic acting. 

I am a Media Studies student, part of the last batch of Media Studies students in my school. As such, I have knowledge in video production and media theories. If I had to be honest, I prefer filming over theory. The only thing I don't like about filming is drawing storyboards during pre-production. I can't draw. 

In my free time, I usually spend my entire day browsing through YouTube, reading plays or watching them. I also enjoy researching theatre studies and learning about different acting methods such as Stanislavski and Suzuki. I sometimes find myself watching short films and animations on YouTube and spending time scrutinising every detail. I am currently co-running another blog which covers book and play reviews. I love music (especially Katy Perry). After my O levels, I plan to take up Muay Thai, learn sign language and start playing the guitar.

I firmly believe in using the arts as a medium to bring about change in our society. If I can do what I love while making a difference in the world, I see no reason why I shouldn't. This blog is a way for people to find out more about me and my journey into the crazy world of the arts. I hope that we can both enjoy this journey together! :)
